I know, it is hard to step away from Sneaker Era, but once you have discovered loafers are as comfortable as sneakers and you realise they are far more elegant - you will want more of this stuff.
VAIN's first drop of women's loafers
I personally wear loafers since boarding school, I paired them with Burlington's - you recall the famous stockings? So yes, a lifetime user and never really abandoned them entirely. Definitely years of experience wearing them for all sorts of occasions.
Let me share with you my top 3 tips to take along when you are considering to buy loafers without loosing the feeling of being a real woman (I know that is exactly what you are thinking right now).
Tip #1 - You look very feminine in loafers.
I know you don't think so but you DO. It gives you a Parisian flair, which is sexy by definition. French women have seriously enviable style, that is no secret. Your husband might not have liked the Sneaker Era, well, he will get much faster used to this if you explain him you resemble Jane Birkin or Léa Seydoux (if he is a Bond guy). Especially if you choose a more refined shape of loafers, which gives a certain fragility to your looks.

Tip #2 - Style: from home to party-look
I know girls wearing loafers instead of slippers at home; that isn't such a bad idea, is it? And far more easy than sneakers to throw off and run after your kid up the stairs.
Spring is still shy to come out, but prepare yourself to roll up your pair of jeans for a cool, smart look with your loafers!
I wear them on a regular basis with a short black dress or skirt and black opaque stockings - always has been a Feel-Good outfit to me.
The real cool ladies wear them with with short (white) socks. Not in my comfort zone, but certainly very cool if you dare.
Tip #3 - Choose quality
Of course we love our VAIN shape, but there are other great brands we love too when it comes to loafers. Just make sure you check 3 things:
that the quality of leather makes your loafers supple enough to wear. Rigid leather or lacquered ones tend to be too stiff to wear pleasantly.
also quickly check the finish on the sides inside: make sure there is some perforation added that makes your shoe breathable and doesn't leave you with sticky feet.
the strap that gives the accent to your loafers: we prefer to have that part running from end to the other end of the shoe to keep a very clean look. I show you below what I mean.
A cornerstone of any well-rounded closet, loafers have long been favorites of designers and street stylers, thanks to their timeless, dressed-up comfort.
